Call To Artists 2020

ARTIST SUBMISSION APPLICATION:

 APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 14, 2020

APPLICATION FEE: None

 LOCATION: Corner of N Ashley Street and Valley Street in Downtown Valdosta (Green traffic box)

Valdosta Main Street invites you to submit a small mural rendering to be considered for our first public art project inside the City Center Arts District of 2020.

~ Submission Guidelines. ~

 

◆ CLEAN

Submitted art should be not be offensive, political or socially unacceptable in nature.

 

◆ MEDIUM

Paint that is for outdoor use and is acceptable for application on metal.

 The art piece will be painted on a green metal traffic box located on the corner of Valley St and N Ashley Street in front of the Lowndes County Judicial and City Hall Annex PARKING LOT. 

◆ SIZE

Size is 74” x 46.5” x 12"

 

◆ TIMELINE

-Art submissions until close of business on 2/14/2020

-Artist will be selected and notified no later than 2/19/2020

- Artists may begin work as soon as notified of acceptance & paint type is verified

-Artist must have work completed no later than 3/19/2020

 

◆ COMPENSATION

Artist will supply their own supplies. Supplies list must be submitted to Main Street prior to work beginning. Artist may collect a draw not to exceed ½ of the total compensation up front to pay for supplies. Final payment will be given upon completing of the project.

 

Total Compensation for project $350
