The City of Valdosta Public Art Advisory Committee along with Valdosta Main Street invite you to submit a mural rendering to be considered for our second large scale public art mural project inside the City Center Arts District
~ Submission Guidelines~
◆ PROJECT THEME
A modern Doc Holliday that is representative of his historical ties to Downtown Valdosta but in a modern, vibrant, bold interpretive approach that also fits into the progressive and inclusive public art scene in our downtown arts district
Submitted art should be not be offensive, political or socially unacceptable in nature
Paint that is for outdoor use and is acceptable for application on stucco, plaster and metal surfaces
The mural will be painted on a exterior wall on Bennie's Alley in Downtown Valdosta
Size is 50' x 14' x 6' x 14'
-Art submissions until close of business on 8/17/2020
-Artist will be selected and notified no later than 09/01/2020
- Artists may begin work as soon as notified of acceptance & paint type is verified
-Artist must have work completed no later than 10/04/2020
Artist will supply their own supplies, tools, equipment or anything else that might be needed to complete the project. You will need to submit your compensation requirements along with your mural rendering

Please include all contact information as well as a scaled rendering of your proposed work. If you have completed any large scale murals or public art pieces, please include those for reference.
